Program Description:
Starting with defining the sections of a research report and what they contain, we will then format text, headings, and bullets. Then, insert and delete page breaks, insert headers and footers, footnotes, and horizontal bars. We will create and format tables for census records, image list, as well as the Research Log in another document. Finally how to save the layout as a template and use it.

Speaker Bio:
Lianne Kruger, BSc, is a professional genealogist and speaker specializing in Canadian records, homesteading for U.S. and Canada, family history videos, and using technology in all aspects of genealogy such as Google Maps, Google Drive, and Evernote. She is a member of the board for mitoYDNA.org. She is on the Ancestry.ca advisory board and is the webmaster, social media chair for Alberta Genealogical Society (AGS). She previously served six years as 1st VP of AGS, webmaster, database chair, social media chair, and two years as President of a branch.

She earned the AGS President’s award in 2020. She earned a computer degree and has taught computer software courses since 1982. She recently earned Bachelor degree from Brigham Young University Idaho which included a Certificate and Associate degree in Family History Research.

Lianne is a frequent speaker at conferences and webinars including RootsTech, Legacy FamilyTree Webinars, FamilyRoots, THE Genealogy Show (UK), Vivid-Pix, NGS, Ontario Ancestors, AGS, Ancestry, BIFHSGO and five Canadian provincial genealogical societies. She has published articles in BYU Studies Quarterly, FamilySearch, Ancestry, LDSTech, SK Translations, ISBGFH, and AGS Relatively Speaking.
