Webinar: When You Don’t Sync – Tracking Documents Between Ancestry and Desktop Software
Speaker: Linda Debe
When: Saturday, August 13, 2022 at 11:00am Eastern
Keeping up with the enormous amount of documents and images from Ancestry and other paid sites, can get overwhelming. Use this simple but effective process to see at a glance what items you have downloaded, or what documents you have entered into a genealogy program that doesn’t sync with Ancestry. Now you can quickly see everything in each person’s profile.
Linda Debe is a lecturer, writer, and lifelong student with 35 years of genealogy research experience.
She holds an AAS degree in Electronics Technology from the United States Air Force where she served for 10 years. Currently, she is enrolled in ProGen 54 and the National Institute for Genealogical Studies. She has attended several national genealogical conferences and institutions to further her education. Also, she is a member of several genealogy societies.
One of those societies is the Virtual Genealogical Association (VGA) where Linda enjoys volunteering as their technology virtuoso. In 2020, she assisted with their annual conference. Currently, she handles the technical side of their Zoom meetings.
Being Microsoft Office certified in Access and Excel, she applies her training to creating automated spreadsheets to help with genealogy research. She has a YouTube channel where she provides general “how-to” videos on genealogy technology. In addition, Linda offers a free, daily updated, Google calendar which organizes free and fee-based genealogical educational opportunities for genealogists of all levels. The calendar can be found at bit.ly/geniebugs, or on her website.
Recently, Linda started lecturing on technology-based topics to genealogy societies and public libraries. Referred to by friends as “The Sleepless Genealogist,” Linda now has a website by the same name where you can find a list of the lectures and services she offers.
