The following Google Form: https://forms.gle/ahZj1sa4o5gKhnV98 is a Call for Volunteer Proposals for the Virtual Genealogical Association’s (VGA) 4th Birthday Party on Saturday, April 30th, 2022. The tentative time frame is 10:00am – 1:00pm Eastern. That may change due to the proposals received.
The deadline for Submission is Saturday, April 9th, 2022. Notice of Acceptance will be no later than Saturday, April 16th, 2022.
VGA is looking for short presentations (between 5 – 30 minutes in length). The Birthday Party genealogy presentations are going to be recorded and open to the public (the games, door prizes, etc. will not be recorded). The presentation recordings will be posted publicly on VGA’s YouTube channel.
If you would like to share a presentation, but are unable to attend the live event on April 30th, we can pre-record your session to be added to the VGA YouTube channel and advertised as part of the Birthday Party. Please indicate the request for pre-recording at the bottom of the Google Form where it says: “Anything to share, ask, etc.”
The desired energy of the Birthday Party is going to be FUN while learning from presenters, playing games, and giving away many door prizes!
Speakers will be given a free Annual Membership to VGA as a thank you for volunteering their time and expertise. If the speaker is already a VGA member, an additional year will be added to their current membership.
